Here are several ways to start helping our environment:
Turn off the tap water while you brush your teeth. You will conserve
up to 5 gallons of water per day!!!
Take shorter showers! Every 2 minutes you save on your shower can
conserve more than 10 gallons of water!!!
Dust your lightbulbs and change them, to compact fluorescent when they
Rid yourself of junk mail!! Or, at least, recycle it. the average
U.S. household receives 1.5 trees’ worth of junk mail a year. If all
Americans recycled their junk mail, $370 million in landfill dumping
fees could be saved each year!
Pay bills online. Subscribe to paperless statements. This will save
more trees!!!!! And, by doing this, the money saved could possibly
send more than 17,000 recent high school graduates to a public
university for a year!!!!
Recycle your cell phone! Donate your phone to charity or sell it to a
3rd party recycler.
Unplug your chargers when not in use! We could be saving, roughly,
over $100 million – enough to provide free health care to every low-
income child under the age of 5 in the state of California.
Stay tuned for more ideas to come!!!!
