Butterflies (and Test Prep, Too)!

During our focus on non-fiction texts this week in getting prepared for upcoming state tests in literacy and science, our class used butterflies as the theme – using the book Endangered Butterflies, by Bobbie Kalman as part of our shared reading. Today, students became the test “makers” as they partnered up to read selections from the book and create questions, such as vocabulary in context or inference, for other teams to answer. Indeed, after all the success the students had this morning, they are on their way to being test “masters”!
