Our school is in dire need of capital improvements, please support our school by signing our petition to the District 15 Community Education Council (D15 CEC). Attending the next D15 CEC meeting on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 will reinforce our message to the council that this is a serious issue that needs attention (see more information in the message following from PTA President, Christine Farrell).
Special Message from the PTA…
Dear PS 130 Community,
A petition to the D15 Community Education Council (CEC) will be circulating this week. We are asking the CEC to help us get capital improvement monies to repoint the bricks on the exterior of the building. PS 130 is leaking and the water permeation is damaging interior spaces and learning environments. There is also the potential for hazardous and unsafe conditions for our children.
PS 130 is not part of the current School Construction Authority (SCA) 5-year capital improvement plan for District 15. Please consider signing the petition. Doing so will send a message to the D15 CEC and to SCA that PS 130 need help now.
An online version of the petition can be found at:
The signed petition will be delivered to the D15 CEC at their next meeting on Tuesday, January 21, 2014, 7:00 pm-9:00 pm. The meeting will take place at PS 133, 610 Baltic Street (between 4th and 5th Avenues). — (See ATTACHED flyer) — A group of PS 130 parents/guardians and advocates are planning to be there to show their support.
