Resources for Transgender Day of Visibility

Hello Educators of PS130! The Gender Equity Subcommittee would like to share some resources for Transgender Day of Visibility on March 31, 2023.

TDOV is just one opportunity to do our part as allies and members of the LGBTQ+ community to celebrate and care for trans and non-binary folks. There are currently over 400 active anti-trans bills in the United States, many focused on transgender youth. Founded in 2009 by Rachel Crandall-Crocker, the head of Transgender Michigan, it is a day to show support by bringing attention to the accomplishments of trans people around the globe while fighting transphobia through information and education.

We thank you in advance for sharing this day with your students. – Elizabeth & the Gender Equity Subcommittee
