Middle School Information 2019/2020

For 5th Grade Students who are applying to middle school for the 2019-2020 school year, the admissions process starts this fall.

Middle School Applications are Due: FRIDAY, DECEMBER 6, 2019

The NYC Department of Education has many useful middle school resources.

The Middle School Enrollment page provides many links to information and resources available.  Including a tutorial on the offer process.

One of the Admissions Priorities based on the diversity-in admissions initiative, gives priority to applicants eligible for free and reduced lunch (FRL) for up to 50% of seats (https://www.schools.nyc.gov/enrollment/enroll-grade-by-grade/middle-school/nyc-middle-school-admissions-guide).

You can fill out the Family Income Inquiry Form (the “lunch” application) from the School Foods website (https://www.myschoolapps.com/Home/PickDistrict).

To look up the district your address is zoned for, please go to “Find A School” on the NYC DOE website (schools.nyc.gov) and enter your address in the “School Name or Address” field.

The Middle School Directory can now be found on myschools.nyc
You do not need a myschools account to browse the directory.

An access code will be generated for each fifth grader to create a myschools account in order to view Middle Schools and an individualized application.
