Today we searched Google Images for “sharks predators”. We learned that sharks eat almost anything, like sea lions, turtles, and other sharks. The only predator of a shark is fishermen.

We were wondering why butterflies have designs on their backs. Maybe the designs help them blend in so predators don’t see them.

Hello world,

Emmanuel on Baby Elephants
This movie requires Adobe Flash for playback.
We found a nice video today about baby elephants. Here is what we saw (group writing):
The elephants were very wrinkly. They might be wrinkly because the land is dry. The baby stays close to its mother because it is afraid. The babies are about the size of a lion. Ms. Nemer says that a mother elephant is pregnant for 2 years! The baby had no tusks yet, but the mother had them.
Here is the address where you can watch the video we watched: http://kids.nationalgeographic.com/Animals/CreatureFeature/African-elephant

Parents,
A great way to contribute to the PTA all year round is to sign up for *One Cause*.
By signing up and accessing your favorite shopping sites through One Cause a percentage of your purchases will be donated directly to our PTA. It’s really easy to sign up, we’re listed as *PS 130 PTA* (the search is not case-sensitive, but it is particular about spaces).
Take a look at http://onecause.com/schools/ps-130-pta and see how much some of the other schools in Brooklyn have raised and then, let the shopping begin!!
Thank you, PS 130 PTA
